Simple Way to Hang Small Quilted Wall Hangings
Do you want to know how to make a simple hanging system for smaller wall hangings? Follow these steps and see just how easy it is.
Step 1
Cut 2 Squares of Fabric - either contrasting or coordinating - 3" x 3" up to 4" x 4".

Step 2
Fold in half on the diagonal and press with a hot steam iron.

Step 3
Lay these folded triangles on the two back top corner, matching the raw edges.

Step 4
Baste to your wall hanging using a large stitch and approx. 1/8" from the edge to hold them in place.

Step 5
Stitch your binding to the front like you normally would.
Step 6
Press the binding away from the piece, turn to the back and hand stitch.
Step 7
Purchase a small diameter dowel rod, measure (see the black mark I made) and cut approx. 1" smaller than your back measurement. Insert into the two triangle pockets and hang with small nails or push pins. It's as easy as that!

One extra bonus is that the piece can also be used as a table topper if you want by just removing the dowel rod since the hanging triangles lay flat.
